What is this beautiful flower? And how big is it in actuality? It looks quite large here, but when I look at the bug I wonder if it isn't smaller than it seems? (Am I asking too many questions?? ;-) Very pretty photo.

mb: i wish i knew the answers to your questions. i found this flower on a mountain pasture a couple of weeks ago and it's quite small (i'd say each blossom is under an inch in diameter). the bug is just a small fly.
