these sand lizards are small creatures... few are larger than, say, 15 cm (6 inches?) so (s)he can represent absolutely no danger to humans. and they usually hide as soon as somebody approaches. this one appeared quite curious, though, and watched me and my snapper inquisitively rather than running away...
jules: no gekkos here, just these little dinosaurs. thank you :)
man in painting: i think they are called sand lizards. cute little things, and quite shy...
jem: indeed, it's quite amazing how they adapt to their environment. i know the overall quality of this photo is not good but i posted it because of the eye... thank you

Did it bite you? Are you still alive? The answrs to those questions would go a long way in helping me decide whether or not s/he was dangerous.
OC says, "I think it's a skink." I told him to watch his language.

What a cute little thing. It reminds me of the gekkos we had in Okinawa.

Convey my wishes.
Wow. Quite disguised against that background, you could easily miss it. So well spotted. Such a beady eye - very knowing!
