__An artistic (if you will) hobby of mine: I fashion walking sticks from dead-falls found in the forests near the Cape, keeping the various woods as close to natrual as I can... and I stray only by fashioning the hand-grips and wrist straps. My way of keeping the dead... alive. _m

thank you for sharing the haiku and your hobby, magyar. it is a noble one... i like touching wood in all of its forms :)
But we must stay warm -- as I burn my oak and shagbark hickory.
Love the cold frozen snowy exterior but the burst of colour from within the wood that really looks like it's alive and warm.
