quilly - sadly, true. this used to be a prominent old willow at the entrance to a park but the first big snow toppled it over so this is all that's left of it...

rak - so true. when a tree falls, there is no other choice

__An artistic (if you will) hobby of mine: I fashion walking sticks from dead-falls found in the forests near the Cape, keeping the various woods as close to natrual as I can... and I stray only by fashioning the hand-grips and wrist straps. My way of keeping the dead... alive. _m

Love the cold frozen snowy exterior but the burst of colour from within the wood that really looks like it's alive and warm.
