__At our place at the pond, the water's edge is lined with pines, in the summer the tops -lean- just as these do. __Herons, when they leave their wadeing hunt along the shores and finally become air-born, their first perch is a pine's top! This was my FIRST thought... when I saw the -lean- of your photo! _m
Oh that poor tree, bent under the weight of winter. I feel like I shouldn't complain now I see that. In fact our snow departed, but grey and rain have taken it's place, and I wonder now whether the snow didn't have more to offer, in terms of light and beauty at least.
