How close were you really? I've run from a few of these fellas. When one invades their territory, they generally don't just stand around posing for pictures.

well, i was standing pretty close to the bovine but there was electrified wire between us so i was not in any danger :o)

the thing under her eye is a fly (two, actually); they were buzzing around the beasts all the time
