i would have preferred shallower depth of field but the conditions were less than favourable... and i wanted to capture the red of the vine while it's still there

Pa vendar je čudovito, čeprav bruha ogenj. Naše je to mesto, čeprav včasih kruto.
Bolj barvit vikend ti želim, kot je ta sivi petek!
jem: there is a river below and the vine climbs from the banks. there are a few similar railings but this is the only one where the vine reaches the dragons.
janice: yes, and we are lucky enough to have preserved a lot of green in the city. thank you.
Depth of field is tricky, as I've found with my new camera. On the other hand, the buildings' lines in the background are interesting. You can almost see someone in a window waving to you. I love your photos.

Al
it works for me :)
oh so vivid! ;0)
ja, alenka, se kar strinjam.
barve si bomo pa izgleda morali pričarati sami... pa še uro premaknemo... bo takoj tema...
vseeno ti želim lep vikend!
floots: thank you, i'm pleased it does.
i couldn't have moved further away as there were cars parked just behind me and, besides, it was raining...
reign: thank you.:o)
I wonder if they planted the vine intentionally? it looks like fire, or water on fire - perfect for beneath the dragon railing.
I like how nature continues on in the midst of man-made things. Still a beautiful shot Polona
there be dragons!

jk: indeed!
(hi there) :o)
I think it's great. The red vines become fire for the "dragon", it's perfect!
